Families New to Hockey

HCF is a community-based hockey association operating under the USA hockey and the Alaska State Hockey Association (ASHA) organizations. A group of passionate volunteer board members and coaches run HCF.

The mission of Hockey Club Fairbanks is to offer the best youth hockey experience in Alaska for all players and their families at all levels while increasing community participation in the sport. To achieve this HCF follows the American Developmental Model and is proud to be the only USA Hockey Model Association in the state of Alaska!

Hockey is a fun, fast, dynamic game that is both exciting to watch and play. Hockey occupies a special place among the sports in Alaska. Playing hockey in Alaska means you can play hockey almost anywhere from October to March! Our goal is to make hockey a lifelong sport, many hockey players that came up through Fairbanks youth hockey still play in pick-up games and leagues as adults. We hope that you fall in love with hockey as we have.

HCF is a community-based program available to all people within Interior Alaska. HCF is proud to have excellent numbers in both our girl’s and boy’s programs. We are committed to providing the best hockey experience for the players and their parents as they venture into the exciting, encouraging, and fulfilling world of youth hockey.
